The operatives of Lagos State Police Command, Satellite Town Division, have arrested two male suspects for stealing female underpants for ritual purposes.
The suspects were arrested on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Mile-2-under-the-bridge, Lagos.
The two suspects are 21-year-old Friday Emmanuel and 29-year-old Obiora Nwabueze.
The Police alleged that both suspects were arrested after they engaged each other in fisticuffs following the failure of one of the parties to keep to the terms of an agreement regarding the stealing of female underpants.
According to Emmanuel, Nwabueze had tasked him to steal used female underpants for a fee of N30,000.
Nwabueze, however, refused to pay him after he had successfully accomplished the task.
According to Emmanuel’s testimony, after Nwabueze refused to honour the agreement between the duo, he forcefully attempted to take the underpants from him and this led to an exchange of blows.
During interrogation, Emmanuel regretted listening to his friend, Nwabueze, who was pestering him to get the female under-wears because he desperately needed to become rich.
The Police further said both suspects have been charged before a Lagos Magistrate court at Mbah Road, Ajegunle, for conspiracy and stealing.
