The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has urged Nigerians not to panic when they see aircraft flying at low level between now and October 2018.
According to the Air Force, their aircraft flying at low level is part of rehearsals for its aerial display for Nigeria’s 58th independence anniversary celebration.
The confirmation comes shortly after residents in the Federal Capital Territory raised the alarm over low flying aircraft in the area.
NAF urged residents to go about their normal businesses.
A tweet via NAF’s handle read: “NAF will carry out aerial display as part of Nigeria’s 58th Anniversary Celebration. Hence, NAF aircraft would be flying at low level within Abuja during the rehearsals from now till 2 Oct 2018. Members of the public are advised not to panic but go about their normal businesses.”
