Popular American rapper Cardi B gives birth to new baby.
She and her husband Offset welcomed their first child together on July 10. Their daughter’s name is Kulture Kiari Cephus.
The star made the revelation via her Instagram.
She is Cardi’s first child and Offset’s fourth. Congratulations to Cardi and Offset!
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Cardi talked about how amazing she thought motherhood would be, saying she wanted to make sure her baby was with her at all times, even when she was on tour.
“I don’t want to miss one second. I don’t want to miss no smiles, I don’t want to miss no new movement, I don’t want the baby to confuse me and the babysitter,” she said.
When Cardi B first announced she was pregnant, she took flak from fans on social media who thought it was too early in her career to take such a huge step.
“I hate the certain things people say . . . like ‘I feel bad for her. Why is she doing that in the height of her career?’ and it’s just like why can’t I have both? Why do I have to choose a baby or a career? Why do I have to be in my mid-30s to have a baby? What am I doing wrong?” she said in an interview with New York’s Hot 97 radio station.
Kiari Cephus is Offset’s full name. He and Cardi B were (secretly) married back in October 2017. This past April, Cardi publicly revealed her pregnancy during her “Saturday Night Live” debut. Shortly after, she performed at Coachella, but was then forced to cancel a handful of summer tour dates due to her pregnancy. In late July, Offset and the Migos will embark on a North American tour with Drake.
