Covenant University has been ranked the best university in Nigeria by Times Higher Education (THE).

The rankings, which were released on Wednesday at Times Higher Education’s World Academic Summit at the National University of Singapore, included only three Nigerian universities.

A total of 1250 universities were ranked on the list.

According to a statement on its website, THE said it used 13 performance indicators which are placed under five categories.

“The performance indicators are grouped into five areas: teaching (the learning environment); research (volume, income and reputation); citations (research influence); international outlook(staff, students and research); and industry income (knowledge transfer),” the statement read.
