Magu’s Chief Of Staff Under Investigation For Bribery And Unlawful Enrichment %Post Title

The home cleansing by the acting president, professor Yemi Osinbajo that swept away the director general of the dreaded state security services, Lawal Daura might have also consumed the chief of staff to acting chairman of The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu, Pastor Ola Olukoyede, said to be a prominent pastor in the Redeemed Christian church of God, in Lagos.

Sources revealed that pastor Ola has been under investigation for some time over his nefarious activities.

A source told us that the agency acted on several petitions written against him in which three by prominent Nigerian he had allegedly defrauded under the guise of assisting to curry from his boss, Ibrahim Magu stood out.

One of the petitioners according to our investigation is a one time governor of Niger state who we gathered provided evidence of an encounter with the chief of staff which left him parting with huge sums of money.

Another petition was received from a prominent high chief from the south west who at a time was the chairman of a front row bank.

The chief was said to have complained about losing 100million to the embattled chief of staff, who we learnt was actually brought to the agency by the acting president having trusted him as a fellow, RCCG pastor.

In the course of the investigation, the agency was said to have discovered a mind-boggling amount of money in his personal accounts.

“What was discovered is actually enough to last two lifetimes, it was something the acting president couldn’t stomach when it was brought to his knowledge, he ordered an internal probe of the chief of staff, during the probe,it was discovered that pastor ola has used his office to acquire so much wealth for himself and his family.

Our investigations revealed that he was in the habit of removing and keeping the files of suspects being investigated, he allegedly did this acting all alone without even an attempt at carrying along the investigators.

“He obviously thought as a candidate of the vice president he could do and undo without a  consideration of a day like this.

Our source disclosed that immediately he realised the game was up he approached a powerful serving minister to intercede on his behalf but the acting president told Ibrahim Magu to do his job.

We gathered he spent some time in the EFCC detention before being placed on suspension pending his prosecution.
