Son of the former Registrar/CEO of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Emeritus Professor Dibu Ojerinde, Olumide, on Thursday, clinched the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket to represent Irepo/Olorunsogo/Oorelope Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

Ojerinde, who polled 850 votes to defeat Mr Isaiah Oni, during the party’s House of Representatives primary held at the LA Primary School, Igboho, in his acceptance speech, stated that everyone who took part in the exercise was a winner, calling on all APC members to work together as one to win elections for the party.

This was just as the chairman of Oorelope Local Government, Honourable Samuel Okunlade, congratulated Ojerinde and lauded delegates in the election for their doggedness and support to Oorelope Local Government, which produced the party’s candidate, calling on the people of the constituency to continue “supporting the APC, because it means well for our area.”

Speaking earlier, Ojerinde said: “I want to commend the leadership of the APC, starting from our national leader, President Muhammadu Buhari; Governor Abiola Ajimobi and all the organs of the party for this well-organised exercise. I must also commend the resolve of our people, delegates who delivered this mandate to me and my co-contenders. We are all winners and we all need to work together to win the general elections for our party,” Ojerinde said.
