190 Bodies Found In Mass Grave In Gaza Hospital After Israel’s Withdrawal

Palestinians have exhumed at least 190 bodies from a mass grave at the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis city in the southern Gaza Strip, the state news agency Wafa reported on Sunday.

The bodies were found following the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the city on April 7 after a military offensive there.

Earlier on Sunday, it was reported that Palestinian civil defense teams had discovered 50 bodies in a mass grave at the hospital.

However, since then, the figure has continued to swell.

Wafa said women and children made up the majority of the victims in the mass grave.

According to the broadcaster, around 500 people have been reported missing following the Israeli offensive on Khan Younis.

There was no comment from the Israeli military on the report, Middle East Monitor said.

Israel waged a war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, following an attack by the Palestinian militant group, Hamas, which killed more than 1,100 persons and abducted more than 250 people. Dozens of people are still being held captive.

Meanwhile, Israel has killed at least 34,049 Palestinians, mostly women, and children, and injured 76,901 others.
