2019: Labour Party joins ADP
The Labour Party, on Sunday joined Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Lagos.
This development was confirmed to journalists by the spokesperson for Lagos ADP, Prince Adelaja Adeoye, at the party’s state secretariat.
Adelaja said it was the right step at the right time, stressing that ADP was a party for all Nigerians.
The Labour Party members were received by the state Chairman of ADP, Barrister Adewale Bolaji, in the presence of party chieftains such as Chief Fatai Shodimu, Mrs Nike Jones, Alhaja Yetunde Dosunmu, amongst others.
On the side of the Labour Party were Mr Bolaji Oshinowo and Prince Ajisemoyin, who led their members into the ADP.
Prince Ajisemoyin expressed their delight, stating that ADP wAs a formidable party ready to win elections across Nigeria with good people who can fix the country.
He then directed all members of his former party to register with ADP across the 20 local governments in Lagos.
Bolaji also confirmed that other political parties will soon fuse into Lagos ADP.
