Nigeria Union of Fishermen and Sea Foods Dealers (NUFSFD) has endorsed the candidature of the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2023 general elections.
National Chairman of the Union, Comrade Sani Usman Rilwan Arzuka said endorsement of the former Lagos state governor for the presidential race was based on the conviction that he has a nationalistic stance to lead the country.
Comrade Arzuka who said in statement that he was a presidential Aspirant under the platform of YPP, but decided to decamp to APC because of Tinubu’s capacity to take Nigeria to the promised land in 2023.
“We congratulate our amiable Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Jagaban Borgu for a great outing in Kaduna during the interactive session with the Arewa Joint Committee .
“The North and indeed Nigeria and Nigerians now know that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not only the best among the presidential candidates but one that has the intellectual and physical ability to lead Nigeria as president .
“I was a presidential aspirant on the platform of the YPP with extensive and massive followers, but I decamped immediately with my teeming followers from the 36 states of the Federation after hearing the victory of Asiwaju Ahmed TIinubu at the primary election of the APC, knowing fully well that he is the only man who the cap fits,who has all it takes to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.
“I was also, the Zonal Chairman, Northwest; of the YPP before my resignation from the party, with a wide network of contacts across the geo- political zone.
“I am now coming on board with my followers to support Tinubu/ Shettima for the 2023 election, and we have since commenced mobilization work for Tinubu’s success and have not relented in spreading his political ideals across board.
“My initial position and the reason why I decamped from YPP to APC for Tinubu gave me the courage to campaign and mobilize more followers for our next president. I have structures on ground and by the grace of the Almighty Allah, we shall coast to victory..
“My supporters go where I goes and I’m leading them to no where but to the door of our next president…Jagaban for life.
“We believe that by the time our next President sees members of our association and have the knowledge of our spread nationally which would be galvanised for the ultimate success of his political ambition, he will be pleased with our association”. The statement said.
