2023: ‘Reject Political Intruders’, Ogun Senator Battling Lagos Colleague Tells Constituents
The lawmaker representing Ogun West in the National Assembly, Senator Tolu Odebiyi, has called on his constituents to be vigilant and ensure that political intruders are not allowed to hoodwink them ahead of the political primaries to nominate candidates that would fly the flag of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 elections.
Odebiyi who was fielding questions from newsmen urged the people of Ogun West to reject political intruders and strangers who want to come and reap where they did not sow.
He said such politicians do not have the interest of the people at heart, but instead see the people as purchasable commodities that would be discarded once their political objective is attained.
The Senator representing Lagos West in the National Assembly, Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, recently moved his political base to Ogun West and expressed his intention to represent the people at the Senate in 2023.
Odebiyi noted that the people of Ogun West know those who have served their cause well, and therefore deserve their support and encouragement.
He urged the people to reject the strange elements who are plotting to come in from a neighbouring State to cause confusion in Ogun West.
“In Ogun West, we remain steadfast and vigilant, especially with the incursion of some stranger elements to lay claim to their origin in Ogun West. Our people know those who have served them well. I have no doubt that they will continue to stand firm as we move forward together in developing the area,” he said.
Odebiyi expressed implicit confidence in the people of Ogun West, stating that they are supportive of his leadership because of the numerous dividends of democracy which they have continued to enjoy under his stewardship in the National Assembly.
He commended the APC supporters nationwide for the successful National Convention that threw up a new national leadership with Senator Abdullahi Adamu as the National Chairman. He showered encomiums on Senator Adamu and other members of the National Working Committee of the APC as men of integrity.
