EFCC quizzes ex-NNPC GCEO, Kyari, for alleged fraud
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has quizzed the former Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, Mele Kyari, for alleged misappropriation of funds, The Cable reports.
A source within the EFCC confirmed the development to the newspaper on Wednesday.
He said Kyari was grilled for alleged misappropriation of funds released for maintenance of the country’s refineries while in office.

Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court, Abuja, had in August ordered the freezing of four accounts domiciled in Jaiz Bank and linked to the former NNPC chief over alleged fraud.
President Bola Tinubu removed Kyari as NNPC GCEO on April 2.
