ACTOR UGBEZU UGEZU TO MEN: Stop paying women’s school fees, ‘it’s fraud’
Veteran Nollywood actor and filmmaker Ugezu J. Ugezu has stirred controversy online after cautioning men against paying for women’s education, describing the practice as a form of “fraud.”
In a post shared on his official Instagram page on Friday, Ugezu argued that men who finance women’s school fees often end up disappointed when the relationship fails to lead to marriage.
According to him, it is unwise for men to shoulder such responsibilities outside of marriage.
He also issued a warning about the feeling of entitlement that frequently accompanies financial support in partnerships, particularly those involving women.
“That you paid the school fees of a maiden and assisted financially in shaping her life does not mean you must marry her. There are things a man must do and leave for the universe. If she finally says so…walk away.” The actor wrote on his Instagram page.
