2027: Seyi Tinubu can challenge his father for president – Bwala
The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has hinted that Seyi Tinubu could potentially challenge his father in the 2027 presidential election.
Bwala emphasised that Seyi is fully qualified to vie for any political position in Nigeria, including the governorship of Lagos State. He noted that the president’s son has earned a reputation as a unifier, particularly among the youth.
Speaking on a YouTube podcast on Wednesday, Bwala dismissed claims that Seyi’s political ambitions are solely driven by his father’s influence.”
“If Seyi Tinubu’s father is the president, what stops him from running for Lagos State governor? He could even challenge his father in the next election,” Bwala stated.
He urged Nigerians to assess Seyi on his own merits rather than inherited perceptions, describing him as humble and unassuming despite his privileged upbringing.
