‘You’re Going to Hell’ – Trump Blasts UN, World Leaders
US President Donald Trump on Tuesday attacked the United Nations and European leaders at the General Assembly, warning that migration is sending Western nations “to hell”.
In a nearly hour-long speech, Trump accused the UN of failing to support his peace efforts in Gaza and Ukraine, saying: “What is the purpose of the United Nations? It has such tremendous potential, but it’s not even coming close to living up to that.”
He lambasted Europe, telling leaders: “Your countries are going to hell,” and mocked the UN for issuing only “a really strongly worded letter” on global conflicts.
After meeting Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky, Trump shifted his stance, writing on Truth Social that Kyiv could “fight and WIN all of Ukraine back in its original form.”
On Gaza, he blasted recognition of a Palestinian state as a “reward” to Hamas, while also insisting: “Climate change — it’s the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the world.”
Trump’s return to the UN came as he pushes nationalist policies, cuts aid, and withdraws from global pacts. UN chief Antonio Guterres warned such US-led cuts were “wreaking havoc” worldwide.
