Kano governor got more allocation in 6 months than I received in 8 years – Ganduje reveals
Former governor of Kano, Abdullahi Ganduje, has revealed that his successor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has received more money from the federation account in six months than his administration got in eight years.
Speaking at an All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ meeting in Kano, Ganduje accused the governor of reckless spending and poor governance.
He said: “When I took over power, I never wasted time probing my predecessor. Governance doesn’t end with one administration. But Abba Yusuf started his government with probes.
“Tell me, what have they uncovered? They’ve received more money in six months than my administration saw in eight years. Yet what have they achieved?”
The former APC national chairman also described Yusuf’s government as “clumsy, confused and reckless,” insisting that public funds were being spent on projects without value.
“It’s like comparing a messenger with a permanent secretary. Theirs is a government of bandits, clumsy and confused. They spend recklessly on projects without value for money,” he added.
Ganduje further accused the Yusuf-led administration of vendetta and lack of direction.
