Bauchi Governor Mohammed Appoints Elder Brother As Emir Of Duguri Emirate
The Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has appointed his elder brother, Alhaji Adamu Mohammed, as the Emir of the newly created Duguri Emirate.
The appointment ceremony took place Friday at the Duguri palace in Alkaleri Local Government Area, where the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Aminu Hammayo, presented the appointment letter on behalf of the governor.
Speaking at the event, Hammayo urged the new emir to continue supporting government policies and programs to ensure sustainable growth and development.
In his response, Alhaji Adamu Mohammed expressed gratitude to Governor Mohammed for the honor and prayed for Allah’s abundant reward for the governor.
He also pledged loyalty to the Bauchi State government and the Bauchi Emirate Council.
At the same ceremony, Hammayo also presented the appointment letter to Alhaji Jibrin D Hassan, the new Emir of Bununu Emirate.
He reminded the royal father to adhere to the rule of law, promote peace among all tribes, and contribute to the state’s development.
The new Emir of Bununu expressed his appreciation to Governor Mohammed and assured that he would serve the government and the people diligently.
