“I have nothing to do with Nnamdi Kanu’s Case” – Tompolo

Ex-militant leader and Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has refuted reports claiming that he issued a 21-day ultimatum to the Federal Government to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

In a statement released on Sunday and signed by his Media Consultant, Dr. Paul Bebenimibo, Tompolo described the report as false, mischievous, and aimed at tarnishing his reputation.

“We wish to state unequivocally that Tompolo did not author the said publication. He has nothing to do with the issue of Nnamdi Kanu. This is clearly the handiwork of his enemies, seeking to discredit him because of his stand against illegal crude oil activities in the Niger Delta,” the statement read.

Bebenimibo stressed that Tompolo remains focused on his mandate of protecting oil infrastructure and eradicating crude oil theft in the region through Tantita Security Services.

“Tompolo will not relent in carrying out his duties to completely eradicate illegal oil activities in the Niger Delta,” he added.

Reaffirming his loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Renewed Hope Agenda, Tompolo expressed full support for the administration and endorsed the President for a second term.

“We wish to reassure the Federal Government that Tompolo stands firmly with the President and fully supports the Renewed Hope Agenda,” the statement said.

The former Niger Delta agitator urged the public and the Federal Government to disregard the viral publication, insisting that it did not originate from him or his media office. Tompolo maintained that those behind the fake report were only attempting to sow discord and undermine his ongoing efforts to secure the nation’s oil assets.
