Kate Bosede Akomolafe, a 69-year-old woman, became a media sensation after she was matriculated into the Distance Learning Centre of the University of Ibadan (UI).
Akomolafe joined the other five thousand students who were sworn in into the DLC programme of the institution on Friday.
In a post on Facebook, management of the institution said Akomolafe is a retired data processing officer at RT Briscoe Motor Company and currently a pig farmer.
The management noted that Akomolafe was a distributor of baking flour with affiliation to the Nigerian Eagle Flour Mills.
Born December 22, 1956, Akomolafe obtained her West African School Certificate in 1976 from Government Secondary School, Creek Road, Port Harcourt.
She went back to school to resit for the WASSCE and National Examination Council (NECO) in 2024 to “acquire enough credits to obtain a university admission” and earn a bachelor’s degree.(The Cable)
