Trump doesn’t care about Nigerian Christians…. his threat shouldn’t be celebrated – Sowore
Omoyele Sowore, activist and former presidential candidate, has warned that the latest threat from US President Donald Trump should not be celebrated.
On Friday, Trump tagged Nigeria a “country of particular concern”.
On Saturday, the US president accused the Nigerian government of turning a blind eye to attacks on Christians.
“If the Nigerian government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the USA will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria, and may very well go into that now disgraced country, ‘guns-a-blazing’, to completely wipe out the Islamic terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities,” Trump wrote on social media.
Sowore said whether one is Christian, Muslim, animist or non-religious, that type of rhetoric should not be celebrated.
“The latest threat by U.S. President Donald Trump @POTUS to launch military action in Nigeria, allegedly to protect Christians, may sound appealing to some. Still, history has shown this to be perilous,” Sowore wrote. (The Cable)
