Tinubu appoints five new Permanent Secretaries
																								
												
												
											President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of five new Permanent Secretaries to fill existing vacancies within the Federal Civil Service.
The announcement was made on Monday in Abuja by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, HCSF, Mrs Didi Walson-Jack, in a statement issued through the Director of Information and Public Relations, Mrs Eno Olotu.
The new Permanent Secretaries are Ibrahim Ozi (Federal Capital Territory), Ezemama Chidiebere (Imo State), Garba Usman (North Central), Mohammed Ishiyaku (North East), and Ukaire Chigbowu (South East).
According to Walson-Jack, the appointments followed a rigorous, merit-based selection process conducted in accordance with President Tinubu’s vision to entrench professionalism, transparency, and excellence in the Civil Service.
She urged the newly appointed officials to demonstrate commitment, competence, and integrity in carrying out their responsibilities, noting that their roles are crucial to enhancing effective governance and improving service delivery across ministries and agencies.
“The new Permanent Secretaries are expected to deploy their experience and expertise in driving the government’s reform agenda and ensuring the highest standards of performance in the public sector,” she stated.
Walson-Jack also commended President Tinubu for his consistent support for meritocracy and professionalism in public administration, describing the appointments as a reflection of his administration’s commitment to building a results-driven and people-oriented bureaucracy.
She reaffirmed that the Federal Civil Service remains focused on achieving efficiency, accountability, and innovation in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda.
