DSS Dismisses 115 Personnel Over Unscrupulous Activities
The Department of State Services (DSS) has dismissed 115 officers as part of ongoing reforms to uphold discipline and professional standards within the agency.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the secret police said the dismissals were carried out over time as part of efforts to rid the Service of corruption and misconduct.
The DSS also cautioned the public to beware of some of the dismissed officers who continue to parade themselves as active personnel.
“In addition to earlier disclaimers on the duo of Barry Donald and Victor Onyedikachi Godwin, the Service finds it necessary to warn citizens of the fraudulent activities of some of these persons still posing as DSS personnel,” the statement read.
The agency advised Nigerians to avoid any form of official dealings with the affected individuals, adding that their identities have been published on its official website.
