Obasanjo’s ex-Chief of Staff, Gen. Abdullahi Adangba Muhammed is dead
Former Chief of Staff to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, Major General Abdullahi Adangba Muhammed is dead.
The retired military officer was said to have passed away at the age of 86 years at his Kaduna residence Wednesday morning.
Adangba, as fondly called, was also a former Military Governor of old Benue-Plateau State 1975 to February 1976 during the military regime of General Murtala Mohammed.
The Ilorin born retired army officer was the founder of the defunct National Security Organization (NSO) now known as Department of State Services (DSS) from 1976 to 1979.
As an extremely intelligent and dutiful retired Military officer, Abdullahi Mohammed served as Chief of Staff to Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Umaru Musa Yar’Adua from 1999 to 2008.
He also served as National Security Adviser (NSA) to General Abdusalami Abubakar from 1998 to 1999.
