“I’ve instructed US Dept of War to start testing our nuclear weapons” – Trump
President Donald Trump announced that he has instructed the Department of War to commence testing of the United States of America’s nuclear weapons.
Speaking during a press conference on Wednesday, November 6, Trump said the US ranks top in the list of countries with the highest number of nuclear weapons.
“The United States has more Nuclear Weapons than any other country. This was accomplished, including a complete update and renovation of existing weapons, during my first term in office when I rebuilt the military,” Trump said.
The US President at the conference also stated that he had initially not wanted to test these weapons because of their destructive capacity but decided to do otherwise as other nations are taking similar steps.
His words, “Because of its tremendous destructive power I hated to deal with what having nuclear weapons but I really have no choice.
“Russia is second to line and China, just a distant third but will be even within five years.
“Because of other countries’ testing programs, I have instructed the Department of War to start testing our Nuclear Weapons on an equal basis. That process would begin immediately,” Trump said.
This action by President Trump comes days after he announced the designation of Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern following the killings of Christians in the North and other regions of the country.
In addition, he also threatened the invasion of Nigeria with the US military should the government fail in its duty to address the situation and commit to protecting Christians who are constantly being persecuted by Islamic terrorists.
