Women Who Sleep Naked Everyday Live 7 Years Longer – Study
Researchers are drawing attention to an unexpected lifestyle habit that may influence long-term health: sleeping naked. New findings suggest that women who sleep without clothing may experience several physiological benefits tied to improved longevity, with some studies proposing it could potentially add up to seven years to their lifespan.
According to health experts, the practice supports better temperature regulation during sleep, which in turn enhances circulation and promotes deeper, more restorative rest. Cooler sleep environments help balance key nighttime hormones such as melatonin and growth hormone — both essential for cell repair, immunity, and metabolic health.
In addition, high-quality sleep is known to help reduce cortisol, the body’s primary stress hormone. Lower cortisol levels are associated with reduced inflammation, a major driver of aging and age-related diseases. Preliminary research also indicates that sleeping nude may support reproductive health, improve skin quality, and strengthen metabolic efficiency.
Beyond physical effects, improved sleep duration and depth have proven benefits for mental wellbeing. Women who consistently achieve quality sleep often demonstrate stronger emotional resilience, sharper cognitive performance, and healthier long-term habits — all factors that contribute to overall longevity.
While experts caution that sleeping naked is not a stand-alone solution to healthy aging, they note that small nighttime adjustments can produce meaningful benefits. As research grows, the simple act of shedding clothing at bedtime may emerge as one of the easiest natural habits supporting long-term wellness.
