No One Listens To You Anymore, You Have Lost Your Voice — Nigerians Tear Apart Bishop Kukah Following Perceived ‘Pro Government’ Christmas Message
The Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Kukah has come under fire following his Christmas message adjudged to be pro-government by netizens.
The Bishop of the Sokoto Diocese in the message shared on X asked Nigerian leaders to address sufferings but kept mum on certain challenges including the imminent tax reforms, genocidal claims among others.
In the message, he also said crimes such as terrorism, armed robbery, and kidnapping have continued across Nigeria, and he is asking citizens to pray for the families of those affected by these.
“Secondly, we owe them our commitment to work for a better tomorrow that God’s Kingdom of Peace and Justice will reign among us,” he said.
He maintained that Christ remains the cornerstone of the Christian faith, urging believers to push on despite the temptation to grow weary and despondent due to the circumstances happening in the country.
Meanwhile responding on X Nigerians drew attention of the cleric to the message saying it sounds more like a government press release.
