Billionaire Bizman, Nuel Ojei Is Dead
Delta State born billionaire businessman, Chief Emmanuel ‘Nuel’ Ojei, is dead.
He reportedly died few hours ago in his hometown, Iseleuku, Delta State at the age of 74.
“Diokpa Nuel Ojei, the Ogene of Iseleuku is dead.
“He suddenly complained of chest pain, slumped and was taken to the hospital in Asaba around 5:30pm where he was confirmed dead”. A dependable source squealed.
Ojei was the founder of Emmanuel Ojei Holdings (NOH), a conglomerate with interests in automobile distribution, construction, banking, insurance, oil and gas, solid minerals, energy and telecommunications. Nuel Auto Distributors Limited (NAD), the automobile business unit of the group, is the sole distributor of Mazda vehicles in Nigeria. In addition, the company also represents Swaraj Mazda Limited, an Indian-Japanese joint venture for small and medium-sized trucks and specialised vehicles.
In November 2008, NAD entered into an agreement with West Star Associates Limited to distribute and service Mercedes-Benz cars in Nigeria. Nuel Ojei also owned Emo Group, an oil and gas group with subsidiaries, Emo Oil and Petrochemical Company Limited, Emo Exploration and Production Limited, NJ Exploration Limited, and Emo Ashapura Energy and Mining Limited.
