Wike warns APC national secretary to stay away from Rivers state politics
Barr. Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nhas issued a stern warning to Senator Ajibola Basiru, urging him to stay away from Rivers state politics.
Senator Basiru made comments in support of Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers recently, which Wike reacted to while addressing his supporters in Oyigbo Local Government Area of the State.
The minister said: “Don’t take our support for President Tinubu for granted. You have to be very careful with the statements you make.
“When Mr. President comes back, when I see the Minister of Blue Economy, I will tell them to tell him: Carry your hand to Rivers State if your hand burns, don’t say na me burn am. I can challenge anybody this state is a no-go area.
“Go and ask those who have tried it before. You open your mouth to talk about Rivers state, anything you see, take it. Anything you want, take it.
I can challenge anybody that this state is a no go area. This state is a no go area whether you like it or don’t like it. So take the one you have taken. stop making unnecessary noise.”
