Two Nigerians kill friend over woman in India
The police in Kalepadal, the eastern part of Pune, India, on Monday, detained two Nigerians for allegedly beating their 40-year-old friend to death.
According to The Times of India on Friday, the victim, who was also a Nigerian national, resided in Phursungi.
“The victim and his friends gathered at the house of a Nigerian woman for a party on Sunday, and an altercation broke out among them over a woman.
“In the early hours of Monday, as the victim was leaving the flat, his friends allegedly followed him and bludgeoned him to death in the building’s parking lot,” the report said.
Meanwhile, two Nigerians were earlier arrested for drug trafficking and overstaying their visas by Indian authorities.
Detectives of the Hyderabad-Narcotics Enforcement Wing nabbed Chidi Ezeh, 42, and Obasi Victor, 38, after arriving from Delhi on Friday.
“Victor is expected to be deported to Nigeria, while Chidi was taken into custody,” the report added.(Punch)
