JUST IN: National grid collapses again
The national power grid collapsed again on Tuesday morning, leading to widespread power outages across Nigeria.
According to data obtained from the Nigerian Independent System Operator (ISO), load allocation to the 11 electricity distribution companies (DisCos) dropped to zero megawatts (MW) as of 11 am on Tuesday, signaling a complete grid failure.
This marks the second time in just five days that the national grid has collapsed, causing significant disruptions in electricity supply across the country.
