Kwakwanso will do all to stop your second term – Ayodele tells Yusuf
The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned the Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, that former Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso will do all in his power to top his second term bid.
The man of God with church headquarters in Lagos, made this known in a statement by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin.
Primate Ayodele stated that Kwakwanso will do everything possible to see that Yusuf doesn’t return to power.
This is coming days after the Kano State governor decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC), leading to a fallout between him and the ex-governor, whom many regard as his political godfather and a strong member of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
Primate Ayodele explained that the ex-governor is ready for the worst to ensure Yusuf doesn’t return.
He said: “Governor Abba Yusuf’s second term is shaking seriously in Kano State.
“His move to the APC will cause political chaos for him, and this will have a lot of effect if not carefully handled.
“Rabiu Kwankwaso will do everything possible financially, spiritually, politically, and legally to see that Yusuf doesn’t return for a second term.
“He will do everything to stand against his second term ambition.
“The governor must be ready for the worst.”
Also, Primate Ayodele stated that there will be a political crisis in Kano State, which can become something else, while urging the government to watch it.
He said: “There will be a serious political crisis and tension in Kano State.
“The Federal Government must watch the state carefully because I see things going up in flames if care isn’t taken.”
Furthermore, while speaking on the fate of those decamping to the APC, Primate Ayodele warned President Bola Tinubu not to rely on most of them because not all of them will work for him for the 2027 elections.
He explained that some of them are there to destabilise the party and cause a crisis for his re-election bid.
He said: “President Tinubu shouldn’t trust everyone decamping to the APC; some of them don’t have good intentions, they are only after their interests, not the president.
“Some of them will work against him in his re-election bid.”
