Federal High Court Judgment Vindicates Osun PDP’s Stand On Adelekes ’S Accord Platform
The Osun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has received with a strong sense of vindication the judgment of the Federal High Court sitting in Ibadan, which nullified the purported PDP National Convention held in Ibadan, Oyo State, on November 15, 2025.
The court, in its considered ruling, barred Alhaji Taminu Turaki and others from parading themselves as National Officers of the PDP, while affirming that the Caretaker Committee led by Ambassador Abdulrahman and Senator Samuel Anyanwu remains the only recognised National Working Committee of the party pending the conduct of a valid National Convention.
This judgment clearly validates the principled and foresighted position earlier taken by the Osun State PDP in support of His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, to pursue his re-election on the platform of the Accord, rather than leading the good people of Osun State into a predictable dungeon of electoral waste, confusion, and internal sabotage.
The Osun PDP, under the leadership of the State Working Committee headed by Hon Sunday Bisi, acted in the overriding interest of the people, democracy, and continuity of good governance. Events have now proven that this decision was neither whimsical nor self-serving, but a courageous intervention to protect the popular mandate and developmental vision of Governor Ademola Adeleke.
The State Working Committee reassures the people of Osun State that it will continue to take decisions guided strictly by the collective interest of the masses, and not by unproductive ego-massaging or desperate political adventurism that stands in direct conflict with the developmental agenda of the present administration.
We therefore urge the good people of Osun State to shun the antics of congenital detractors and political masquerades who are nothing more than disguised undertakers working for enemies of the state, and who are relentlessly seeking garvel of vendetta to further punish Osun people for no just cause.
While the party calls on all gladiators in the ongoing national leadership dispute to seek an urgent and amicable resolution to the avoidable impasse, we enjoin the people of Osun State to remain steadfast in their support for the progressive vision and people-oriented leadership of His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, for the greater good of our dear state.
