Kidnapped Ondo Man Killed, Found Dead In Edo Forest After Ransom Payment
A tragic incident has been reported in Ondo State following the death of Ojo Gbara, popularly known as Obesere, a native of Isua Akoko.
Ojo Gbara, described by community members as a vibrant and hard-working son of Akoko South East Local Government Area, was abducted about a week ago.
His kidnappers reportedly demanded a ransom, prompting family members and well-wishers to mobilise resources in an effort to secure his release.
Despite the ransom being raised and paid, he was not freed.
In a devastating turn of events, his remains were later discovered in a deep forest in Edo State.
The recovered remains have been brought back to his hometown of Isua Akoko for burial rites.
The incident has sparked renewed grief, anger, and concern among residents, with growing calls for enhanced security and decisive action against kidnappings and violent crimes that cross state boundaries.
Investigations are ongoing as the community mourns yet another life lost to insecurity. (SaharaReporters)
