Lagos Assembly Ratifies Adelabu’s Appointment As LASPA GM
The Lagos State House of Assembly has confirmed Mrs. Adebisi Adelabu as the General Manager of the Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA), sealing her appointment after months of legislative scrutiny.

Speaker Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, presiding over the plenary, on Monday, March 2, declared the confirmation pursuant to Section 92 of the Lagos State Transport Sector Reform Law, 2018.
Adelabu’s nomination, which had initially been stepped down in January for further consideration, won overwhelming support following a rigorous screening exercise. Lawmakers praised her professional credentials and strategic vision for repositioning LASPA for greater efficiency and improved service delivery. The confirmation was finalised through a voice vote, with the Clerk of the House directed to communicate the resolution to the state government.
In a parallel development, the Assembly unanimously adopted the recommendations of its Committee on Rules and Business regarding a petition over a disputed land at the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), Ikorodu.
The Committee, led by Majority Leader, Hon. Noheem Adams, established that the descendants of Segun Eyingbala are the original customary owners of the disputed property, formerly part of LASPOTECH.
As compensation, the House resolved that the State Government should allocate 50 hectares of land in a suitable location within Ikorodu to the family.
Lawmakers commended the Committee’s diligence and endorsed its recommendations as the official resolution of the House.
