Rivers Assembly unveils Fubara’s commissioner nominees
The Rivers State House of Assembly has unveiled nine commissioner nominees forwarded by Governor Siminalayi Fubara for screening and confirmation into the State Executive Council.
The list was read on the floor of the House on Tuesday by the Clerk of the Assembly, Emeka Amadi, who directed the nominees to submit 40 sets of their curriculum vitae and photocopies of their credentials ahead of the screening exercise.
The nominees are: Professor Datonye Alasia; Mr. Tonye Bellgam; Professor Temple Nwofor; Dr. Peters Nwagor; Mrs. Charity Deemua; Tamuno Williams, Esq.; Mr. Lekue Kenneth; Otonye T.K.D. Amachree, Esq.; and Sir Amairigha Edward Hart.
Amadi said:“The Rivers State House of Assembly hereby invites nominees for appointment as commissioners and members of the Rivers State Executive Council to submit forty (40) sets of their curriculum vitae (CV), photocopies of credentials and evidence of compliance with tax obligations.
“All documents should be forwarded to the Office of the Clerk of the House at the Rivers State House of Assembly Quarters.”
Governor Fubara had last month dissolved the State Executive Council following the political crisis that erupted between him and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
The dissolution came after President Bola Tinubu intervened to broker peace between the two political figures.
