Tambuwal Joins ADC
The senator representing Sokoto South in the National Assembly, Aminu Tambuwal, has joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC), after resigning from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a statement issued by his media office, Tambuwal said his decision to join the ADC was driven by his belief that Nigeria needs a stronger political platform built on integrity, inclusiveness, accountability and commitment to national development.
He reaffirmed his commitment to the service of Nigeria, as well as to the ideals of democracy and national unity.
Tambuwal, a former governor of Sokoto State, had earlier announced his resignation from the PDP, citing persistent internal crises, leadership disagreements and increasing divisions within the party.
According to him, the ongoing conflicts within the PDP have weakened the unity and direction that once defined the party.
