BREAKING: Saudi Arabia announces Friday as Eid-el-Fitr date
Eid Al-Fitr will begin on Friday, March 20, authorities in Saudi Arabia announced after the Shawwal crescent moon was not sighted on Wednesday.
This means Thursday will complete the 30 days of Ramadan.
Eid Al-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of fasting and is determined by the sighting of the crescent moon, signaling the start of the new Islamic month of Shawwal.
