2027: Kwankwaso In Talks With ADC, NDC, Says Kwankwasiyya
The Kwankwasiyya Movement has confirmed that the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) National Leader and 2023 presidential flagbearer, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, is in talks with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The movement’s Spokesperson II, Mansur Kurugu, confirmed the development to Daily Trust on Monday, saying the discussions may eventually lead to the alignment of the platforms.
According to him, Kwankwaso and other leaders of the parties have not yet decided on the final platform to adopt, stressing that the talks were still ongoing.
He said: “It is true that Kwankwaso is in talks with ADC and NDC, and we are optimistic that the leaders will end up adopting one of the parties before the 2027 elections.
“The likes of Seriake Dickson, Peter Obi, and Seyi Makinde are all part of the talks, and they have progressed significantly,” Kurugu added.
He further explained that at the end of the discussions, the leaders will adopt either ADC, NDC, or even NNPP as their final destination.
Daily Trust had reported how Kwankwaso hosted Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde; former Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in 2023, Peter Obi; and NDC National Leader and Bayelsa Senator, Seriake Dickson, at a Sallah event in Kano, , on Sunday.(Daily trust)
