Group hails Tinubu’s UK visit
The Six Wings Advocates Network has commended the recent state visit of President Bola Tinubu to the United Kingdom, stating that it has strengthened bilateral relations between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
The group, in a statement signed by its representative, Victoria Oshinfade, on Monday, stated that its submission followed a careful review of the trip’s outcome and its impact on Nigeria’s global standing.
According to the network, the President’s engagements with the UK government and citizens underscored Nigeria’s commitment to improving international relations and driving economic growth.
“After a careful review of the outcome of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s state visit to the United Kingdom, we can say that it is bearing a tremendous positive influence on Nigeria’s image in the global arena and is evoking a sense of pride among Nigerians living in the UK.
“The visit, which is the first in 37 years, has not only strengthened the existing relationship between the two countries but has also created numerous opportunities for economic cooperation, mutual investment and cultural exchange,” the group stated.
The group further noted that Nigerians residing in the UK had expressed renewed confidence in the country’s leadership and felt more connected to national development efforts.
According to the statement, the engagements were expected to yield benefits in trade, security cooperation and cultural exchange between both countries.
It also noted improved interactions between Nigerians and their counterparts in the UK following the visit.
“For some of our people living in the UK, the way their colleagues now interact with them shows that visits of this nature are highly regarded, as the UK does not take visits by heads of state lightly,” it added.
The network expressed optimism that the outcome of the visit would contribute to Nigeria’s growth and reinforce its standing in the international community.
