Osun PDP Congratulates New NWC, Hails Convention Outcome
The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has extended warm congratulations to members of the newly elected National Working Committee (NWC) who emerged from the just concluded national convention of the party held in Abuja over the weekend.
The State Chairman, Hon Sunday Bisi, who led the Osun State delegation to the convention, commended party members across the country for the peaceful and orderly conduct that characterized the exercise. He noted that the successful convention outcome has rekindled hope and charted a renewed pathway for the revival and strengthening of the PDP as a formidable political force in Nigeria.
According to a statement on the party on Tuesday, Osun PDP pays glowing tributes to Nyesom Wike, former Governor of Rivers State, whose doggedness and resilience have shaped a new and progressive course for the party.
The party acknowledges his firm disposition in moments of internal turbulence, noting that his measured tacts and frank courage in confronting challenges have not only preserved the party’s core ideals but have also inspired confidence among members across the federation.
Osun PDP further describes the national leadership stature attained by the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory as a well-deserved recognition of a man who has made immense sacrifices in advancing the fortunes of the party. “Through years of political battles and strategic engagements, Barrister Wike has consistently demonstrated rare leadership acumen and tenacity, positioning himself as a pillar in the ongoing efforts to rebuild, strengthen, and reposition the PDP for greater national relevance and electoral success” Osun PDP noted.
The party specifically congratulated the newly elected National Chairman, Hon Abdulrahman Mohammed, and the National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, describing them as seasoned leaders with proven competence and the capacity to reposition the party for greater success in the years ahead.
Osun PDP also celebrated one of its own, Prince Diran Odeyemi, on his emergence as the National Treasurer of the party. The party expressed strong confidence in his ability to effectively represent Osun State at the national level and contribute meaningfully to rebuilding and stabilizing the party, especially in the face of recent challenges.
The statement reaffirmed the commitment of the Osun PDP to the unity, growth, and electoral success of the party, pledging continued support for the new leadership as they steer the affairs of the PDP toward a brighter and more victorious future.
