Tinubu Hosts Badaru, Ganduje At Aso Rock
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday met with former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Ganduje, and former Minister of Defence, Badaru Abubakar.
President Tinubu met separately with the visitors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The reason for the meeting was not immediately made known, as they all refused to speak with state House correspondents after the meeting.
The North East, especially Borno State has recently been in the news for attacks on the military by terrorists.
Zulum also recently, sacked all commissioners in his cabinet, dissolving the state’s executive council.
Bukar Tijani, secretary to the state government, said the governor has directed the commissioners to hand over the affairs of their respective ministries to permanent secretaries on or before Friday, April 3.
The move he said was to allow those with interest in contesting elections in 2027 to do so.
Ganduje served as APC National Chairman from August 2023 to July 2025, before resigning from the position.
In the last twenty four hours, Kano has been in the news following the defection of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
The former Kano Governor might have stormed the villa to confer with the President on how tame the opposition in the state.
