IGP Orders Urgent Submission Of Bank Details, Nominal Roll Of All Nigerian Police Officers

The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has issued a directive ordering all police formations and departments across Nigeria to submit the complete nominal roll and bank account details of officers and rank-and-file personnel under their command.

The directive, contained in a police signal dated March 30, 2026, and issued from the IGP Secretariat in Abuja, was marked “M/IMMEDIATE” and addressed to all Assistant Inspectors-General of Police, commissioners of police in all states, heads of specialised police units nationwide.

According to the message, all formations are required to provide a comprehensive nominal roll of officers, including inspectors and rank-and-file personnel currently serving under their commands. The submission must also include the account details of the officers.

The IGP instructed that the information be submitted in both hard and soft copies, with the soft copy in an editable Microsoft Excel format to be sent via the official police email.

The deadline for submission was set for Thursday, April 9, 2026.

The directive emphasised that the request is of “utmost urgency” and should be treated as very important, warning that compliance is expected without the need for further reminders.

The signal, referenced CB: 4001/IGP.SEC/ABJ/VOL.124/4, was circulated to numerous formations, including police colleges, training institutions, tactical units, and specialised departments such as Border Patrol, Maritime Police, Counter-Terrorism units, Interpol, the Police Airwing, and Mobile Police (MOPOL) formations.
