Group writes APC chairman, moves to buy Tinubu’s 2027 nomination form
Take Action Campaign for Tinubu (TACT), has formally notified the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, of its intention to purchase the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.
The group said the move reflects growing support for the President’s second-term bid and confidence in his administration’s policy direction.
In a letter dated April 4, 2026, and signed by its Director-General, Tony Nwulu, TACT stated that well-meaning Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora were persuaded by what it described as the administration’s “significant and far-reaching reforms” across key sectors of the economy and governance.
According to the group, the decision to purchase the nomination form underscores the need for continuity to sustain and consolidate the gains of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“The decision to support President Tinubu for a second term is informed by the bold and transformative policies initiated under his leadership. We believe continuity is essential to fully realise the gains of these reforms,” the letter read in part.
TACT maintained that although some of the government’s policies may be challenging in the short term, they are laying a solid foundation for long-term national growth and stability.
The group also pledged to mobilise resources and public support for the President’s re-election, noting that it would engage in citizen enlightenment and advocacy to ensure his victory at the polls.
Speaking earlier while addressing APC women leaders who visited him in solidarity, Nwulu reiterated the group’s commitment to raising the required funds for the purchase of the nomination form.
He urged President Tinubu to remain focused on the implementation of his administration’s programmes, assuring that supporters across the country and in the diaspora would continue to rally behind him.
The group further appealed to Nigerians to remain patient and supportive of ongoing reforms, stressing that the policies are designed to improve the socio-economic well-being of citizens over time.
It also called on stakeholders to work collectively with the administration in advancing national development objectives.
