Tinubu To Commission Six Projects In Lagos
President Bola Tinubu will inaugurate six key infrastructure projects executed by the Lagos state government as he embarks on a two-day working visit to the state on Wednesday and Thursday.
Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, in a post on X, said the President would commission “iconic, transformative and legacy projects” delivered by the Sanwo-Olu administration.
According to him, the projects include the Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information Service building in Alausa, the Lagos State Multi-Agency Complex, the Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle, the Maracana Stadium, and the Lagos Food Logistics Hub in Abijo.
“Please join the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu to welcome President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to a two-day working visit to our dear State. While here, the President will commission some of our iconic, transformative and legacy projects,” Akosile stated.
Also confirming the development, the Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, said the projects were designed to address critical infrastructure needs across the state.
He explained that the Opebi–Mende–Ojota Link Bridge was constructed to ease traffic congestion and provide alternative routes for motorists in key areas including Allen, Opebi, Maryland and Ojota.
Osiyemi added that the Lagos State Geographic Information Service building would enhance land administration through digitisation, while the Multi-Agency Complex would accommodate more government parastatals within the state secretariat.
He further noted that the food logistics hub in Abijo would boost agro-trade with modern storage and trading facilities, while the Tolu Schools Complex had been upgraded with new classrooms, ICT laboratories and sports infrastructure.
According to him, the Maracana Stadium in Ajegunle features 19 mini football pitches aimed at promoting grassroots sports development.
