Brigadier-General, soldiers killed by terrorists buried in Borno
Oseni Braimah, a brigadier-general killed by terrorists in Benisheikh, Kaga LGA of Borno State, has been laid to rest.
The Nigerian Army, in a statement shared on X, said the burial ceremony, “marked by deep sorrow, honour and reflection,” took place on Wednesday at the Maimalari Cantonment Cemetery in Maiduguri.
The army said Braimah was buried alongside Azubuike Michael Esimai, a captain, and “other gallant soldiers who paid the supreme price in the line of duty.”

The ceremony was attended by Babagana Zulum; Christopher Musa; Olufemi Oluyede; Waidi Shaibu; and other senior military officers who “gathered to honour the courage and dedication of the departed.”
“Amidst grieving families and fellow comrades, the fallen heroes were accorded full military honours in recognition of their selfless service and unwavering commitment to the defence of the nation,” the statement reads.
“Their sacrifice serves as a poignant reminder of the heavy price paid daily by members of the Armed Forces to safeguard the peace, unity and security of Nigeria.”
