The All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved a further extension of the timelines for the sale and submission of completed aspirants’ Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms, as well as the screening process for the 2027 General Elections.
The ruling party announced the extensions on Monday in a statement signed by National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
According to the statement, the sale of forms has been extended to midnight, Wednesday, 6th May 2026.
The APC said the submission of forms has been extended to midnight, Thursday, 7th May 2026
The screening of aspirants will now hold from Friday, 8th May 2026 to Tuesday, 12th May 2026
For the publication of screened aspirants, the new date is Wednesday, 13th May 2026.
The APC’s further extension of nomination form deadlines for the 2027 general elections is to handle high aspirant demand.
The move signals intense early competition within Nigeria’s ruling party as it gears up for primaries more than a year ahead of the polls.
