APC Primaries: Mutfwang Wins Return Ticket
Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau has emerged as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections in the state.
Mutfwang emerged winner having secured the highest votes in the APC governorship primary in the state.
Mr Fidelis Mnyim, the Chairman of the Election Committee for the state, declared Mutfwang winner on Friday in Jos.
Mnyim said that Mutfwang polled 233, 335 votes to defeat his rival, retired Commodore Yilchini Bida, who scored 3,070 votes.
“As the chairman of this committee, I wish to declare that Caleb Mutfwang, having scored the highest votes and satisfied the requirements of APC constitution, as the winner of the primary.”
“Therefore, he is returned as the elected governorship candidate for Plateau in the 2027 general elections,” he said. (NAN)
