Woman Found Dead In Boyfriend’s Apartment In Delta
The police have arrested a middle-aged man simply identified as Joe, after his girlfriend was reportedly found dead in the apartment he occupied in Delta State.
The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the suspect’s apartment on Ajidi Street in Edjeba Community, Warri, Delta State, when the deceased visited him.
Sources alleged that the deceased and the suspect had been living together for several days before the woman’s death.
A source said the deceased was reportedly seen moving freely around the neighbourhood a day before her death.
“We saw the lady yesterday. She was walking around and looked normal. Nobody expected that by this morning she would be dead. It is a very painful situation,” the resident said.
According to him, neighbours in the early hours of Wednesday heard unusual screams allegedly coming from the apartment occupied by the suspect, prompting the landlord to alert security operatives.
He said police officers who arrived at the apartment later discovered the lifeless body of the woman inside the suspect’s room..
The source said the suspect was arrested by the Police and taken into custody while the corpse was evacuated to a mortuary for further examination and possible autopsy.
When contacted, the Delta State Command’s spokesperson, Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident but didn’t give detail.(Daily trust)
