BREAKING: Morocco crush Canada, romp into 2026 World Cup quarter-finals
The Atlas Lions of Morocco this Saturday evening, July 4, 2026, crushed co-hosts Canada to romp into the quarter-finals of the 2026 World Cup.
After a cautious first half, the Africans turned on the goal tap in the second half and kept a clean sheet to become the first team to hit the quarter-finals of the Mundial, which has USA and Mexico as the other hosts.
Ounahi scored twice in the 50th and 82nd minutes before Rahimi iced the cake with a counter-attack goal eight minutes into extra time.
Morocco will meet either France or Paraguay in the quarter-finals.
