Vozinha, Mbappe, Messi, Haaland Headline FIFA World Cup Dream XI
Cape Verde’s inspirational goalkeeper, Vozinha, has been included in the FIFA 2026 World Cup Dream XI released on Wednesday.
The team voted by fans rewards the exceptional performance of the 40-year-old Vozinha who was in exceptional form for the Cape Verdeans on their World Cup debut, keeping a clean sheet against eventual champions Spain.
Vozinha made 18 saves across four matches to get the vote of fans ahead of Unai Simon of Spain and Argentina’s Emiliano Martinez who made a record 11 saves in the final.
The Dream XI attack is spearheaded by Erling Haaland who scored seven goals to lead Norway to the quarter-final, and the Norwegian is flanked by Kylian Mbappe who won the Golden Boot with 10 goals, and Lionel Messi, losing finalist with Argentina.
The tournament’s best player Rodri features in midfield alongside Michael Olise who provided a record seven assists, and Jude Bellingham who scored seven goals as England finished third to claim bronze.

Spain (Rodri, Marc Cucurella and Pedro Porro) and France (Mbappe, Olise, Dayot Upamecano) have three players each on the team, with Argentina providing two players.
