WWE star Oba Femi beats Brock Lesnar in first-ever Hell in a Cell match
Nigerian professional wrestler Oba Femi secured a landmark victory at the 2026 SummerSlam, defeating Brock Lesnar in his first-ever Hell in a Cell match.
The blockbuster main event took place on Saturday night at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, United States, with the Lagos-born WWE star extending his remarkable run in the company.
Following the match, Lesnar hailed Oba Femi as the future of WWE while describing himself as part of the past in a show of respect for the Nigerian wrestler.
Reacting to the endorsement, Oba Femi admitted he was surprised by Lesnar’s gesture.
“The hug and public endorsement was definitely a sword and I didn’t see that coming.
“I know that deep down, Brock has always respected me and he knows that deep down, I respect him as
well,” Oba Femi said.
The victory adds another major milestone to Oba Femi’s impressive debut year in WWE. He defeated
Lesnar at WrestleMania in April before going on to win the King of the Ring tournament in June.
The SummerSlam defeat also marked a historic moment for Lesnar, as it was the first time he had ever lost a Hell in a Cell match.
